Leveraging Expertise for Accelerated Carbon Sequestration Opportunity Assessment

This project validates the effectiveness of a crowdsourced approach and highlights the importance of diverse expertise and data in making impactful decisions in CCS exploration and development.

This two-phase project aimed to screen large areas for potential carbon capture and storage (CCS). Its overlapping timelines facilitated collaboration between two geological experts from the ThinkOnward community and incorporated data from previous regional projects. The subsurface models accelerated the assessment decision by three months.
