There are many techniques for understanding how the world's oceans change through time.  One of those techniques is to look for patterns using satellite radar imagery of the ocean's surface.  These patterns are well understood, but it is nearly impossible to map them across large swaths of the ocean every day.  This challenge is a perfect space for machine learning to help.

For this assignment, we'll be asking five XIRs to review ocean satellite images and label the metocean features they observe (wind, pollution, etc.).  These labels will then be utilized to build machine learning models to help researchers better understand the patterns in the ocean's behavior on a large scale.

The project will be 3 weeks, 20-30 hours total, starting in July. Apply before the application closes July 15 at 5 pm CT/ 10 pm UTC.
