Description

For this project, we’re looking for a Senior Seismic Interpretation Consultant with 25+ years of experience in reservoir-scale seismic interpretation for oil & gas companies, with strong expertise in deep-water turbidite systems and wavelet-scale analysis. The consultant will be familiar with spectral decomposition, tuning diagnostics, geobody extraction, and Petrel workflows.

The objectives for this project are to:

• Interpret depositional features (channels, lobes, MTCs) within the Oligo-Miocene interval using wavelet-scale methods.

• Deliver concise outputs for sponsors’ decision basis.

• Document interpretation uncertainty and alternative hypotheses.

• Build a conceptual depositional model (planform + cross-section).

• Summarize reservoir-quality indicators and sand distribution trends.

• (Stretch Goal) Test workflows for automation and accelerated interpretation.

Duration

8 weeks, full-time, starting Feb 2026.

What You’ll Bring:

• 25+ years of experience in seismic interpretation for oil & gas projects.

• Expert in wavelet-scale interpretation techniques and deep-water depositional systems.

• Familiar with Petrel, spectral decomposition, and advanced seismic workflows.

• Strong ability to communicate uncertainty and alternative depositional scenarios.

• English fluency required, Portuguese nice-to-have.
