Minimum Experience

For this project, we’re looking for a creative geoscientist with a passion for geochemistry to interpret in a frontier basin with a focus on charge evaluation and assessment of source rock presence. The project will utilize 2D and 3D seismic, piston core, published information, and limited other data. The geoscientist will use these data to deliver:

  • A framework interpretation,

  • Annotated play maps with gross depositional environments,

  • Proposed source rocks, supported by seismic mapping, tectono-stratigraphic story and thermogenic occurrences, and 

  • Summary of play concepts and high-graded areas

The project will be 16 weeks part-time, starting in July. Apply before the application closes June 20 at 5 pm CT/ 10 pm UTC.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Regional geoscientist with > 15 years of experience working in multiple basins with diverse play concepts

  • Passion for geochemistry and strong experience with charge evaluation

  • Creative individual who is not afraid to challenge established beliefs

  • Experienced with play based exploration, including play analysis and lead mapping

  • Comfortable working in frontier basins with sparse data and limited well control

  • Experienced Petrel user

  • Working knowledge of GIS
