Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Petrophysicist with extensive carbonate reservoir experience to play a critical role in validating a petrophysical analysis pipeline. Your deep understanding of petrophysical principles, carbonate reservoirs, and practical log interpretation will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and geological soundness of automated processes and the resulting benchmark dataset. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a foundational tool that will impact future petrophysical workflows.

What You’ll Bring:
Minimum 10+ years of petrophysical experience within the oil and gas industry.
Demonstrable and extensive experience with carbonate reservoirs, including a deep understanding of typical lithologies, log responses, and petrophysical challenges (North Sea experience ideal).
Expert-level proficiency in fundamental petrophysical interpretation techniques, including but not limited to shale volume, porosity, water saturation, and permeability calculations.
Proven ability to critically review and validate complex technical methodologies and data.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback.
Proficiency with standard petrophysical software packages (e.g. Techlog).
Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis is a plus but not required.
Experience with lithology of the Middle East is a plus but not required.
