For this project, we’re looking for an exploration geoscientist with extensive experience offshore Sarawak, in North, Central or West Luconia. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on regional interpretations of 2D/3D seismic data, perform well integration and assess for hydrocarbons on the play down to the prospect scale.

The objectives for this project will be to identify prospects and leads, get a better regional understanding of plays, geology and geologic history, and provide high-quality and consistent interpretation products that can be used as a springboard for future work. This project will start on a regional scale to provide context but will quickly converge on several focus areas for a detailed prospect evaluation.

What You’ll Bring:

• 10+ years of experience in seismic interpretation and play assessment

• Expert Petrel user

• Expert knowledge of offshore Malaysia basins 

• Experienced with regional exploration with a focus on leads and prospects identification

• Experienced with portfolio management, risking and volumetrics

• Creativity and willingness to challenge dogmas

• Comfortable working with cloud based virtual workstation and communication tools.
