Minimum Experience

For this project, we’re looking for a creative geologist with broad experience working throughout the Western US Gulf Coast and Shelf, with a particular focus on the Neogene, who can leverage their regional experience to help the sponsor team understand sediment fairways. The project will primarily focus on well data and academic journals. This individual will use these to create a consistent set of well tops, develop regional interpretations of reservoir properties and EOD/GDE, and add more granularity to sediment fairway maps within the area of interest to help focus future studies. The project will be 4 weeks full-time, starting in April..

What You’ll Bring:

  •  >8 years of integrated regional subsurface experience in a variety of plays in the Texas/Louisiana Onshore and West Gulf of Mexico Shelf

  • Knowledge of US Gulf Coast onshore and shelf stratigraphy and regional geology

  • Experienced log interpreter (including reservoir properties and EOD); familiar with petrophysical curves 

  • Ability to screen and work with large datasets of well logs

  • Petrel fluency required, ArcGIS preferred
