Project Type
10 years
Minimum Experience
Description
For this project, we’re seeking a Senior Stratigrapher & Seismic Interpretation Consultant with 10–15+ years of experience in regional framework building, sequence stratigraphy, and extensional structural settings. The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with integrating seismic + well data in shelf‑to‑slope systems and can challenge long‑standing depositional “dogma” with evidence‑based interpretation.
The objectives for this project are to:
Interpret and correlate regionally continuous flooding shales across the shelf–slope–basin system.
Integrate seismic data and wells
Reassess slope‑sand potential and test existing assumptions regarding reservoir distribution.
Build a regional structural–stratigraphic framework connecting shallow and deepwater environments.
Create regional isochrons to evaluate accommodation changes and depositional evolution.
Deliver updated correlation panels, depositional context, and play insights.
Stretch Goal: Generate regional GDE/EOD maps and provide prospect‑scale insights where shale geometries control trapping.
Duration
12 weeks, full-time, starting Late March 2026.
Compensation
Locally competitive remuneration.
What You’ll Bring
10–15+ years experience in geological interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, and structural–stratigraphic integration.
Strong expertise in:
Shelf–slope–basin transitions
Flooding shale identification
Regional framework building
Well + seismic integration
Proficiency in Petrel (required) and ArcGIS (optional).
Experience in analog basins such as Trinidad–Colombia margin, GOA slope, Offshore Nigeria, or Brazil/BESA margins.
Strong stratigraphic reasoning and ability to challenge conventional depositional models.
Ability to work independently as a solo XiR with overlapping working hours in the Trinidad & Tobago / North America region.
