8 Weeks
Full-time
Early August 2026
15 years
We have multiple projects coming up in the GoA and are looking for multiple Geoscientists with 15+ years of experience to work them. We’re looking for candidates with demonstrated GoA experience, including interpretation of regional stratigraphy, depositional systems, structural characterization, and exploration plays. The selected geoscientists will investigate key geological controls on exploration success, develop and test alternative geological and depositional models, and integrate multiple subsurface datasets to identify opportunities, uncertainties, and areas requiring further evaluation. The roles will require strong expertise in multiple areas of expertise, including stratigraphy, sedimentology, basin analysis, structural characterization, regional seismic interpretation, well log analysis, and integration between multiple subsurface datasets.
The objectives for these projects include:
Developing regional stratigraphic and depositional frameworks.
Evaluate basin evolution, sediment routing systems, and depositional architecture.
Identify controls on reservoir distribution, preservation, and exploration potential.
Characterize reservoir compartmentalization.
Identify key geological controls on source, and seal, including distribution and quality of these play elements.
Assess geological factors that may explain variations in exploration outcomes across multiple areas.
Integrate seismic, well, petrophysical, production, and other geological datasets, focusing on well-driven interpretations if seismic access is constrained
Evaluate uncertainties and competing geological hypotheses.
Document interpretation uncertainty and alternative hypotheses.
Up to 16 weeks, full-time, starting August 2026.
Locally competitive remuneration.
15+ years of experience.
Experience in Paleogene fields including Green Canyon and Walker Ridge AOIs strongly encouraged.
Familiarity with structural controls on reservoir compartmentalization.
Familiarity with Petroleum systems, particularly source, charge, and trapping.
Familiarity with Reservoir systems, including GDE and play fairway mapping.
Familiar with seismic, well log, well test, and production data.
Strong ability to communicate uncertainty and alternative scenarios to stakeholders.
Familiar with Petrel as an interpretation platform.
