For this project, we’re looking for a seasoned geoscientist with over 5 years of experience interpreting seismic in offshore salt settings for processing, with a strong preference for Red Sea experience. The geoscientist will be familiar interpreting salt from first pass and variable quality 3D seismic to delineate salt bodies.

This project will have two objectives - the primary objective will be to pick top and base salt for multiple processing iterations. The secondary objective will be to build high quality salt maps using existing seismic in a nearby area of interest which will fill in the time gaps during the cyclical work of the primary objective.

The project will be 24 weeks, part time, starting in early February. Apply before the application closes Friday, January 27, 2023 at 5 pm CT/ 10 pm UTC.

What You’ll Bring: 

• 10+ years of experience in seismic interpretation for processing

• 5+ years of experience interpreting salt in offshore settings for seismic processing

• Red Sea experience strongly preferred; GOM, North Sea, or Brazil pre-salt experience acceptable as alternative

• Experienced with salt interpretation using first pass velocity data

• Experienced using Petrel
