Job Description 1: Structural Geologist – Salt Tectonics & Restoration
Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced structural geologist with strong salt tectonics expertise to support a subsurface decision support project focused on autochthonous salt deformation and the evolution of overlying carbonate platform systems. The role will focus on structural restoration and kinematic interpretation, delivering risk focused geological insight under schedule constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural restorations along selected 2D sections in salt influenced settings for a short-term priority AOI.

  • Interpret salt kinematics, platform translation, and salt window development through time.

  • Assess timing relationships between structural evolution and hydrocarbon charge/migration.

  • Integrate restoration outputs with existing seismic interpretation and charge/timing models.

  • Contribute to risk descriptions (qualitative or semiquantitative).

  • Document assumptions, uncertainties, and implications clearly for technical stakeholders.

Required Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in structural geology, with a strong focus on salt tectonics.

  • Demonstrated experience with structural restoration workflows.

  • Familiarity with autochthonous salt systems and platform over salt geometries.

  • Background in exploration or regional subsurface studies.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in salt influenced carbonate systems.

  • Familiarity with integrating restoration results with basin or charge models.

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams under tight timelines.

Deliverables
  • Restored structural sections and supporting interpretations.

  • Clear documentation of structural timing, key uncertainties, and migration implications.

  • Input to presentation ready materials summarizing workflow and results.

Job Description 2: Carbonate Sedimentologist – Depositional Systems & Risk Framing
Role Overview

We are seeking a carbonate sedimentologist to support subsurface risk evaluation in a salt influenced setting. The role focuses on depositional systems interpretation, working closely with structural restoration outputs to constrain reservoir risk under uncertainty. This position emphasizes geological reasoning and risk framing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret carbonate depositional systems in salt affected structural settings.

  • Align structural restoration with depositional context and facies likelihood.

  • Help constrain reservoir risk where seismic attributes alone are ambiguous.

  • Integrate well control, stratigraphic trends, and existing depositional frameworks.

  • Support development of risk descriptions suitable for exploration decision-making.

  • Clearly document assumptions, limitations, and geological rationale.

Required Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in carbonate sedimentology / stratigraphy.

  • Strong understanding of carbonate platform development, facies variability, and diagenetic overprint.

  • Experience working with seismic interpretation and well data in exploration settings.

  • Comfortable working with incomplete data and uncertainty.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in salt influenced carbonate systems.

  • Familiarity with depositional risk framing.

  • Experience collaborating with structural geologists and geophysicists.

Deliverables
  • Depositional interpretations linked to structural evolution.

  • Facies based reservoir risk narratives.

  • Input to technical summaries and presentation ready materials.
