For this project, we’re looking for 3-4 experienced exploration geoscientists (geologists and geophysicists) who have experience offshore Brazil in the Pelotas basin (analog and conjugate margin experience will also be considered) and are familiar with structure-stratigraphy framework building and play-based analysis. The ideal candidates should be comfortable working on 2D seismic data with limited well control. The objectives for this project will be to get a better regional understanding of the geology and geologic history, and provide high-quality and consistent interpretation products that can be used as a springboard for further work including prospectivity analysis.
The project team (team members, TM) will consist of a group of geoscience experts led by a technical team lead (TTL) who will be responsible for coordinating the work in addition to providing technical expertise. You can apply for one or the other, or both.
What You’ll Bring:
10+ years of experience in seismic interpretation and play assessment
Expert Petrel user
Comfortable interpreting regionally based on variable quality 2D seismic (time and depth), including seismic data QC of poor data, well-to-seismic ties, velocity model building, and stratigraphy & fault mapping
Knowledge in South American offshore basin geology, additional experience with analogs or the conjugate margin is a plus
Proficiency in reading Portuguese will be important
Required: able to work as part of a team of experts under a team lead
Required: Proven team leader and contributor (for team lead role)
